About the position

Here at the Hearing Rehabilitation Clinic, we are responsible for extended hearing rehabilitation for adults where the need is extensive and often requires interventions from several healthcare providers. We have audiologists, hearing educators, doctors, social workers, psychologists, technicians, engineers, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries working with us.

As a hearing educator with us, you will work with advanced hearing rehabilitation for adults from a holistic perspective. Together with colleagues, you will be responsible for the educational activities within the extended hearing rehabilitation. You will conduct needs assessments, rehabilitation plans, and provide knowledge-enhancing interventions about hearing, communication, and living with hearing impairment.

This includes individual visits and group activities as well as planning and follow-up. We work multidisciplinary and in the team, we work together to ensure the patient's rehabilitation from a holistic perspective. This position only includes adult patients with moderate to severe hearing impairment.

We are looking for someone who

• has good social skills and enjoys meeting people, has a pedagogical ability to adapt your message to the recipient, and expresses yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing
• is engaged in the development of the organization and actively participates in your own learning process
• is flexible and enjoys a varied everyday life where tasks and pace can change
• is responsible, structured, and has good organizational skills.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Special education training with a focus on hearing or a licensed audiologist with pedagogical training

Meritorious:

Experience in hearing rehabilitation for adults and knowledge of TSS.
